Rethinking State Management – Continuing What React Started

React changed how we think about writing performant web applications by giving us a way to apply state changes to trees of components. It introduced functional programming and immutability to the view but left the model and controller part of MVC mostly unchanged.
In this talk, I will show how we combined finite state machines, algebraic data types and ideas from Haskel to create an immutable data structure designed for state management in reactive JavaScript applications.
